Mark A. McBride, a Perdido Key local since 2000 from Decatur, AL, is a local entrepreneur, businessman and philanthropist who loves music and supports local and regional music and the local community. McBride is a co-owner of Beachbilly Lifestyle, the owner of Playa del Rio RV Resort and the founder of the Perdido Key Music Festival, among other business interests. Since retiring in 2022, McBride devotes most of his free time to various charity efforts and proudly serves on the Board of the HAW5 Foundation, Annie Mae Ministries and the Mark A. McBride Arts & Music Fund. Growing up, music and church were part of his everyday life. McBride remembers his grandmother Annie Mae White from Greenville, SC loading up the van with all the church ladies every Thursday and going to the prison outside of Greenville to witness and share the Bible and the word of Jesus with prisoners. When Amanda Pruitt wanted to start a prison ministry, McBride shared some stories of his grandmother Annie Mae and her prison ministries to find out that Amanda, too, had her own Annie Mae story. For McBride, it was a God-thing to get involved with Annie Mae Ministries; so he agreed to help co-found Annie Mae Ministries with Amanda so that she could pursue a dream and conviction she has. To help AMM get off the ground, McBride decided that the Perdido Key Music Festival and the Mark A. McBride Arts & Music Fund would help and support the ministries future endeavors.
